Competition for a scholarship from the Institute of Oriental Studies Foundation

The second stage of the competition for a scholarship from the Foundation of the Institute of Oriental Studies (Republic of Poland) has ended at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. During the self-presentation, the finalists presented their master’s research, which is aimed at the development of the university in accordance with the Development Strategy of the Carpathian University for 2020–2027 or of the Ivano-Frankivsk region in accordance with the Regional Development Strategy for 2021–2027.
The winners of the competition were:
– Oksana Boyko (Faculty of Philology), the topic of her master’s thesis: “Genology of Short Prose by Vasyl Symonenko” (296 points);
– Viktoriya Marusiak (Faculty of Economics), the topic of her master’s thesis: “Optimization of the Financial Mechanism for Managing Cross-Border Projects in the Context of the Impact of Global Economic Crises” (300 points).
Both winners will receive a one-time scholarship of 1000 USD from the Institute of Oriental Studies Foundation.
In addition, Acting Rector Ihor Tsependa decided to support all participants in the competition. In addition to the winners, each participant will receive an individual grant from the university in the amount of 5000 UAH.

The competition is a great opportunity for masters to prove themselves, make a scientific contribution to the development of the region and receive well-deserved recognition.
The scholarship program was made possible by a cooperation agreement signed on June 12, 2018 between the Precarpathian National University and the Foundation of the Institute of Oriental Studies (Warsaw, Poland). The founder of the Foundation is Zygmunt Berdychowski, Chairman of the Program Council of the Central European Economic Forum.
