Participation of Students in the Youth Security Forum

Students of the “Public Management and Administration” program, Solomiya Buchko and Maryana Horobets, participated in the Youth Security Forum, named “Generation W”, what symbolizes name represents not only “war” but also the broad array of challenges faced by youth in today’s environment.

The event served as a platform to discuss current security issues and the country’s future, especially focusing on the role of youth in upholding Ukraine’s independence.

During the forum, participants had the opportunity to address pressing topics under the shadow of war and developed two case studies:

1) A letter of appeal to the NATO Secretary General regarding Ukraine’s NATO membership;
2) A letter of appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
The forum highlighted the importance of engaging the younger generation in decision-making processes and its potential to shape a new future, as youth are indeed the driving force of change.
