Congratulations on International Mother Language Day!

Dear Professors, Students, and Staff of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University!

Congratulations on International Mother Language Day!

This day is observed annually on February 21 to draw attention to the linguistic diversity of the world and highlight the importance of preserving and developing one’s native language as an integral part of national culture. Language is a powerful means of self-expression, preserving historical memory, and shaping civic awareness and identity.

Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University plays a crucial role in supporting and developing the Ukrainian language, promoting its use in scientific, educational, and cultural spheres. We recognize that language is not just a means of communication but also a key factor in national revival and unity.

Today, it is more important than ever to preserve, nurture, and develop our native language, to support linguistic diversity, and to study and respect other languages of the world. Language is the foundation of our culture, our past, present, and future.

We encourage everyone to honor, improve, and promote the Ukrainian language, enriching it with scientific, literary, and artistic achievements. May our native language unite, inspire, and contribute to the development of our nation!
