Today, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University held a regular meeting of the Academic Council.
During the meeting, several agenda items were discussed. In particular, First Vice-Rector Valentyna Yakubiv reported on the results of the university’s research activities, summarizing the achievements of 2024 and outlining tasks for 2025.
The key accomplishments of the university in scientific research over the past year included:
1. Improvement of the university’s positions in international and national rankings.
2. Internationalization of scientific research through the creation of research groups in collaboration with EU universities.
3. Increase in the volume of funding attracted for the implementation of scientific grant projects.
4. Growth in publication activity of academic staff, including publications in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
5. Enhancement of the university’s academic staff quality (an increase in the number of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences, Professors and Associate Professors, as well as Cabinet of Ministers scholarship recipients and state award laureates).
6. Establishment of the Open Science Center.
7. Development of the university’s research infrastructure.
8. Professional development of academic staff.
9. Expansion of student research activities.
